Need Support Managing Complex Cardiovascular Cases In Your Practice?

With almost 25 years of experience in naturopathic medicine  and a special focus in integrative cardiovascular care,  Dr. Alexandra Verge, ND offers professional and patient consultations for naturopathic doctors who want to feel more confident managing complex heart health cases.

Whether you’re navigating elevated cholesterol, hypertension, secondary causes, or cardiovascular risk in menopause, Dr. Verge provides insight grounded in both evidence and clinical experience.

Her goal is to help you refine your assessment, strengthen your treatment approach, and better support your patients’ long-term heart health.

For your own practice: talk through cases and approaches in a clinician consult.

For your patients: send a patient for a focused integrative cardiovascular consult.

See how referrals work

Send your patient for a focused integrative cardiovascular consult. Your patient stays under your care. You hand off the cardiovascular questions you'd rather not carry, such as lipid interpretation, blood pressure details, risk assessment, or cardiometabolic risk in menopause. Most referrals are one to three visits. Your patient leaves with a clear plan, and you receive a written consult note for your chart.

How Patient Referrals Work

The process

1. Tell your patient

Let them know you'd like them to see Alexandra Verge, ND for a cardiovascular consult. Ask them to call 519-766-9759 or email hello@kuraclinic.ca to book a Heart Health consult, and to give us your name and email.

2. Consult is booked

Our team books the consult. A 60 minute Heart Health naturopathic consult is based on our current hourly rate (see FAQ below) and paid by the patient. When we book, we confirm your details and your patient's consent to share information with you.

3. You upload records

Once the appointment is booked, we send you a secure Hushmail link. Upload labs, imaging, medication and supplement lists, and any relevant notes. No account needed. Records in hand before the first visit make the consult more useful.

4. The consult

One to three visits, depending on the case. Recommendations are given directly to your patient.

5. You receive a consult note

A written summary for your chart (via secure Hushmail email) arrives within one week of the consult. If the plan changes at a follow-up, such as after repeat lipids, you receive an updated note.

  • Acute symptoms or emergencies; these need emergency care or the patient's physician

  • Cases that need testing or medical management outside the naturopathic scope

  • Once a diagnosis is made or the condition is stable, adjunctive integrative care may be appropriate

Not a fit

  • Elevated lipids

  • Hypertension

  • Family history and cardiovascular risk assessment

  • Cardiovascular questions in perimenopause and menopause

  • Patients on medical management who want appropriate integrative support

  • Cases where you want a second set of eyes before choosing a treatment direction

Good fit

  • Only to upload records. Your patient receives recommendations directly, and you receive a consult note for your chart.

  • No. Recommendations are given directly to your patient, and nothing is required of you. If ongoing monitoring is needed, the consult note will provide guidance.

  • A 60 minute Heart Health consult is $240, paid by the patient. This is based on our current hourly rate, effective October 2026. Any follow-up is arranged as needed.

  • You confirm your patient’s consent before uploading. The Hushmail form includes a required consent checkbox, and we confirm the patient’s consent when we book.

  • No records link is sent until an appointment exists. A reminder from you is the only follow-up needed.

  • Records are uploaded through an encrypted Hushmail form.

  • Email hello@kuraclinic.ca or call 519-766-9759. Please don’t include patient information in email.
